VALENTINE PARTY
February is a fabulous month! It’s a first time Valentine party for many of our preschoolers. The Pre-Ker’s will also go on a field trip to Andy’s Hometowne Pizza Parlor and learn how pizza is made and eat it for snack!

February 2014 News

  • PRESCHOOL REGISTRATIONS FOR NEXT YEAR
We have started accepting registrations for the fall 2014-15 preschool year. We are offering six sessions this fall. Church members are encouraged to turn in registrations soon to ensure getting into the class desired. Our two 3-day Pre-K classes (Purple & Blue) are filled for next year, but you can be added to a wait list. Please pass this information onto neighbors or friends who may be interested in attending our great Christian preschool. For further information on our class offerings or to schedule a tour, please contact Sue Duley, Director, at 498-8938 or visit the Preschool Sessions page.

  • CHILD CARE REGISTRATION
Our new child care venture is growing with about 20 kids on our roster. If you are in need of child care for next year, we are reserving spots now with a $50 non-refundable registration fee. Contact Sue Duley, Director, at 498-8938 or visit our website at Child Care page for forms or more information.

  • IMMEDIATE PRESCHOOL BOARD POSITION

We have an immediate need for a preschool board member to represent the church side to complete this school year. If interested or would like to know what is involved, please contact Sue Duley at 498-8938. Ideally we’d like this individual to also participate for a two year term, but if that isn’t possible let us know.

  • PRESCHOOL BOARD MEMBERS FOR NEXT YEAR

If you would like to be involved in the preschool board, we are looking for new members for the next school year for a two year commitment. Please talk with Sue Duley if interested or if you would like more information. Our board is made up of church members and preschool parents, so you don’t necessarily need to have a current preschooler to participate. Our current board includes the following church members: Lisa Schultz, Kris Barsness, and Tracy Cotton. Feel free to ask them what all is involved.

  • THRIVENT CHOICE DOLLARS

Thank you to those of you who have selected Children’s Country Preschool as a recipient of choice dollars. Even if we are chosen as a certain percentage along with other organizations, any amount helps keep our tuition assistance program going for families who need help with tuition. Please consider us if you are given the option.

  • Inclement Weather Reminders
In case there is a lot of snow or icy roads, this is a reminder of what we will do in the event school needs to be delayed or cancelled due to bad weather. We follow what the BUFFALO-HANOVER-MONTROSE school district says on the TV stations (since our school is located in that school district). If public schools are delayed 2 hours in the morning then our morning sessions will be cancelled. If the whole day is cancelled, then preschool is cancelled. If the afternoon is let out early and we know before the afternoon sessions have started, we will cancel our afternoon sessions. You can make your own judgment calls as to whether you want to drive in the conditions. We will change our answering machine message and Facebook to reflect what we are doing for the day. Teachers will NOT be making courtesy calls to everyone as they’ve done in the past. Child Care: Our intent is to try and stay open if our teachers can make it in. We will be in touch with the affected families.
